Interior Environments Designer

As an Interior Environments Designer, you will be an essential part of the integrated design process, working under the direction of the Principal/CEO and Principal Architect, and partnering closely with architecture and design teams on a variety of commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate has experience integrating branding, architecture and experiential graphic design to create a comprehensive interior environments experience.

 What You Will Do

  • Combine your technical know-how, creativity and keen focus on user needs and client goals to produce beautiful and functional interior environments
  • Assist clients with decision-making process, track decisions and collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators and other vendors
  • Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and drawings
    Draft designs for interior environments projects, including schematic design tasks and design development; support larger architecture projects as needed
  • Lead interior programming efforts such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings
  • Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, color palettes, and lighting within client budget, while supporting our efforts to reduce environmental impact through recommendation and use of sustainable materials
  • Generate finish plans, specifications and material selections needed for construction
  • Support business development activities through assistance with aids such as finish boards or presentations
  • Consistently apply established interior environments design standards
    Partner with colleague to maintain resource materials, sample library

Your experience includes:

  • 2+ years Interior Environments Design experience (commercial experience is a plus)
  • Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking/ modeling and graphic presentation skills
  • Experience in Design, AutoCAD Architecture, Sketchup, Revit, and Construction Documents
  • Fluency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design)
  • Knowledge of materials and construction techniques
  • Strong knowledge of the design process
  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
  • A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong organization, collaboration, communication and relationship management skills

 

 

Experiential Graphic Designer

As an Experiential Graphic Designer at WINTER HOLBEN, your role is to conceptualize and design for the integration of brand, physical, experiential and space planning aspects on our wide-ranging portfolio of projects. You’ll collaborate with clients and a highly creative design team, contributing to all phases of project design and development, from conceptual development through implementation. You are passionate about design, skilled in working within interdisciplinary teams and can develop a brand into the built environment for client projects of all sizes and scopes.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare for and develop creative design concepts by synthesizing client vision and your thorough research and analysis
  • Illustrate concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
  • Develop a deep understanding of technical aspects and details to create design intent documentation
  • Design, develop and produce environmental graphic design packages to include plans, sections, elevations, specifications, and detail drawings
  • Collaborate with other design staff/disciplines
  • Exercise independent judgement in evaluation, selection, and use of standard techniques
  • Exhibit an overall commitment to design excellence and industry best practices
  • Apply creative problem-solving every step of the way

Your Experience Includes

  • Degree or equivalent education in graphic design
  • 3-5 years of design experience
  • Strong knowledge of the design process
  • Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
  • Concrete experience in creating visual identity systems
    Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • CAD tools skills a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge in 3D rendering skills in Sketch-up or similar a plus

Architectural Designer

 As an Architectural Designer at WINTER HOLBEN, your role is to collaborate with an integrated architecture and design team and combine technical know-how, creativity and client service to produce beautiful and functional environments for both commercial and residential clients.

What You Will Do

  • Lead architectural deliverables to support projects, partnering with Principal and lead Architects on all project phases, to include conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production
  • Collaborate with integrated design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
  • Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings

Your Experience Includes

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school
  • All levels of experience will be considered - commercial experience is a plus
  • Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking/ modeling and graphic presentation skills
  • Experience in Design, AutoCAD Architecture, Sketchup, Revit, and Construction Documents.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design
  • Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, zoning and building codes
  • Strong knowledge of the design process
  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
