Contemporary Oasis
Ben and Karina Kelley, challenged WINTER HOLBEN to design a distinctive contemporary pool house that complimented their newly built home and passion for contemporary design. Through a highly collaborative process, the resulting structure is both distinctly beautiful and highly functional - including folding glass doors, bar, lounge area, bath, storage and sleeping accommodations.
Design features include:
- Interlocking volumes to reduce scale as a secondary structure
- Combo of large cementitious panels with standing seam metal patterns
- Slatted screen wall for pool equipment that anchors the roof to the ground
- Warm accent of wood trellis over entry
- Folding glass doors to open up the space in warm weather
