Contemporary Boutique Inn
This contemporary boutique inn is beginning construction this spring with plans to open early 2025. This challenging site was formerly a neglected bed and breakfast (Enchanted Nights) that included a vacant area where a former inn building had burned down decades ago. Conforming to zoning ordinances added to the complexity including creating two buildings that could share parking and are limited to 12 rooms each plus an innkeeper residence in each building. The original 1890’s structure is being rehabilitated and expanded while the adjacent building will be new construction. The overall design strategy was to make the buildings feel similar in experience while retaining some of the historic charm of the original building and using materials and details that relate to the surrounding neighborhood. We also created the full interior experience design including guest room interiors and common spaces as well as the naming and branding of the project.

- Sustainable site design which includes an elevated lawn area for infiltration with a series of drainage swales to control the water runoff combined with an extensive landscape design utilizing native species that define and enhance the exterior spaces
