Coastal Renovation + Expansion
Just steps from the beautiful Rye Beach, the original home on this site was a modest, outdated single-story seasonal ranch. While the owners loved the location, they wanted to transform the property into their primary residence with a contemporary design and additional space. Due to site constraints allowing only a small footprint expansion, the design solution repurposed the existing foundation and first-story walls while adding a second story with a primary suite and two additional bedrooms. The interior was thoughtfully designed to embrace a bright, open-concept coastal aesthetic, featuring a sleek contemporary kitchen, a prefabricated floating staircase, and elegant modern bathrooms.
