Take a Peek Inside: The Interior Spaces at 3 Walker

Construction is actively underway at 3 Walker Street, the latest mixed-use development from WINTER HOLBEN in the heart of Kittery Foreside. This week, the design team released a first look at the interior spaces, offering insight into the building’s wide-ranging uses and the contemporary design that ties them all together.

Intended as a continuation of the building’s striking modern exterior, the interiors feature clean lines, natural materials, and flexible layouts that reflect both the creative and coastal character of the neighborhood.

The ground floor will serve as a contemporary gallery and client gathering space—a public-facing venue for exhibitions, events, and creative exchange. Above, the second floor will house WINTER HOLBEN’s working design studio, anchoring the building as an active site of design and collaboration.

At the basement level, two thoughtfully designed affordable housing units will offer high-quality, efficient living with generous natural light from large windows at the back of the building. This integration of affordable housing into the fabric of the project reflects a commitment to inclusive, community-minded development.

Capping the building is a third-floor penthouse apartment with sweeping views of the Piscataqua River. With a minimalist, light-filled interior, the residence provides a sense of calm retreat while remaining closely connected to its surroundings.

“This building is about more than just mixed-use—it’s about meaningful integration,” said the WINTER HOLBEN team. “From affordable housing to creative workspace to public gathering space, the interiors reflect a balance of utility and beauty, all under one roof.”
