The Plan NH Fall Conference
Telling the story of 3S Artspace and the importance of arts and culture in the built environment
The WINTER HOLBEN team was pleased to speak along side Executive Director, Beth Falconer at the recent Plan NH fall conference, Art Attack: Arts, Culture, and the Built Environment. The focus of our collective talk was to tell the story of Portsmouth's beloved cultural hub - 3S Artspace - how it came to fruition, the thought behind the design, and how it has sustained almost 10 years of providing the community an important arts and culture destination. From being a part of the founding board of directors to collaborating on the building design to financial support and ongoing design services our love for 3S has spanned almost 15 years. Additionally the overall conference explored how planners, architects, and others are using arts and culture to create more meaningful, vibrant, and sustainable places in New Hampshire and beyond. It was a pleasure to be a part of such a great event, hear from all the speakers and to talk about why these destinations are a vital component of creating vibrant communities and why it is imperitive that we continue to show our support.
